A Year of Gifts

Last year for Christmas, my sisters and I decided to give my mom a year of gifts. I think it was a great gift, so perhaps you might want to use this idea for a birthday, Mother's Day, or other special event this year? Here's how...

I made the album using Close To My Heart's 6x6 Kraft Die-Cut cards. (Shop for them by clicking!)
CTMH 6x6 Kraft Die-cut cards, Believe paper pack & stickease (retired), Kraft borders (retired), Thickers letters.
Each month had a special gift in a 3x3 folded envelope. We made up sayings and had each family member (including the grandkids who could write) write messages on the tags. The paper used is from an old CTMH calendar kit, and the stamp set is retired stamp of the month Cherish The Day.
January-Don't miss a thing in 2012; subscription to local paper. February-Do something you love; Kindle gift card. March-Have your cake and eat it, too; Cupcakery gift card. April-April showers bring May flowers...celebrate spring; Local flower shop. (Pictured above) May: Cinco de Mayo margs? Wouldn't miss it; favorite Mexican restaurant gift card. June: Get ready for sandals and baseball games; Pedicure gift card. July: The lemonade is awesome!; Panera gift card. August: Grandma, it's hot out here; Local ice cream shop gift card. (Pictured below) September: Get ready for family day, open this gift we couldn't wait!; Panthers sweatshirt. October: Holy Candy Crazy Trick or Treaters!; Walmart gift card. November: Get ready to shop!; Younkers gift card. December: Seven grandkids for Grandma day? You'll need this!; Hy-Vee Food Store gift card. Most of the gift cards were between $5-$10.
